FAQ

Questions riders ask.

Straight answers on price, the weekly payment, and what happens when a week goes badly. If yours is not here, ask us — we would rather answer it than have you guess.

Buying the bike

Can the motorcycle be bought fully in cash, or is it only work-and-pay?

Either. You can buy a T22 outright at GH₵ 18,000 delivered and owe nothing afterwards. The T32 and T33 are priced on enquiry.

Work-and-pay exists because most riders do not have that sum sitting idle — not because cash buyers are turned away. If you have the money, buying outright is the cheaper of the two routes.

How much does the motorcycle cost in total?

Paid outright, a T22 is GH₵ 18,000 delivered.

On work-and-pay the total is GH₵ 26,350 — GH₵ 253.37 a week for 104 weeks. That is more than the cash price, and it should be: it is the cost of taking the bike today with no deposit and paying for it out of what it earns.

Neither figure includes energy. Battery swaps are paid as you go and are never bundled into the purchase.

Can I pay 70–80% in cash and clear the rest over a few months?

The two published routes are paying in full, or work-and-pay over 24 months. A large deposit with a short balance sits between them and is not a standard plan today.

It is not a no. Tell the team what deposit you have and over how long you would clear the rest, and they will tell you whether it can be structured — the answer depends on the lender, not on us alone.

Work and pay

What is the daily, weekly or monthly payment plan?

The plan is weekly. GH₵ 253.37 leaves your MTN MoMo wallet every Monday for 104 weeks — 24 months — and then the bike is yours. There is no daily instalment and no monthly one.

Energy is separate and paid as you swap: GH₵ 15 a pack, about 2 swaps on a working day, so roughly GH₵ 30 a day or GH₵ 210 a week for 100–120 km of range.

Put together, a full working week is about GH₵ 463.37 for the bike and its power.

What are the terms and conditions of work-and-pay?

The shape of it: GH₵ 253.37 a week for 104 weeks, collected from your MTN MoMo wallet every Monday. No deposit. The loan is written by Advans Savings and Loans, not by BEEP — we supply and service the vehicle, they carry the credit.

To qualify you need a valid Ghana Card, an active rider account on a ride-hailing or delivery platform, a mobile money number in your own name, and a route within reach of a BEEP swap station.

The battery is never part of what you are buying. BEEP owns every pack, maintains it and replaces it when it fades.

The binding terms are the ones in the Advans Savings and Loans agreement you sign. Read that document before you sign it — ask for it in advance if you want time with it.

How the plan works
What happens if a rider defaults on the payment?

Your credit agreement is with Advans Savings and Loans, and the arrears process — what counts as late, what it costs, and what happens to the vehicle — is set out in that agreement rather than decided by BEEP.

The practical advice is the same either way: talk to us before you miss a week, not after. A bad week you have told someone about is a different conversation from silence and a failed collection.

Energy and service

Are there swap stations, and where are they?

Yes. Swapping is how the bikes are powered — you trade a depleted pack for a charged one in about ninety seconds rather than waiting on a charger.

Stations are going in across Accra first, on the delivery and ride-hailing corridors riders already work, and expanding outward from there. Coverage changes as sites open, so check the live map rather than a printed list.

Find a station
Are replacement parts available for the motorcycle?

Yes. Servicing and repairs run through the BEEP workshop network built with the Ghana TVET Service, which also trains the technicians who staff it. Parts come through Trans-Sahara Industries, which assembles the vehicles in Ghana.

Battery packs are the exception, and in your favour: the pack is BEEP's property. If one fails you swap it and keep working — you are never quoted for a battery.

Figures are an illustrative model draft, not a quotation, and financing terms are subject to confirmation by Advans Savings and Loans. The binding terms for any rider are the ones in the credit agreement they sign.
